You can use edited photo with two caveats.
The editing software should not strip the photo's original GPS information. An example is when a photo from an iPhone is converted from the iPhone's format to a jpeg. That often removes the GPS information.
You should not modify the photo's GPS information if you do edit it. That would ruin your reputation for trustworthiness, right?
In the second case, it would be best to use our site to change the location the photo represents and keep the grey pin/Unattended status. Someday we may provide a mechanism to convert Unattended places into Attended places.
